Kseniya Oksamytna

I’m a Reader (Associate Professor) in the Department of International Politics, City St Georges, University of London.

My research interests are international organizations (in particular, decision-making, resourcing, and inequalities in international bureaucracies), international security (including the Russian invasion of Ukraine), and peace operations.

My book, “Advocacy and Change in International Organizations: Communication, Protection, and Reconstruction in UN Peacekeeping” (Oxford University Press, 2023), is the winner of the 2024 Chadwick F. Alger Best Book Award by the International Studies Association.

My recent work has been published in International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, International Studies Review, and Contemporary Security Policy.

In 2025-2026, I will be seconded to the International Crisis Group thanks to the British Academy ODA Global Innovation Fellowship.

I am a member of the Editorial Board of International Peacekeeping.
