
I’m a Reader (Associate Professor) in the Department of International Politics at City St Georges, University of London.
My research interests are international organizations (in particular, decision-making, resourcing, and inequalities in international bureaucracies), international security (including the Russian invasion of Ukraine), and peace operations.
My book, “Advocacy and Change in International Organizations: Communication, Protection, and Reconstruction in UN Peacekeeping” (Oxford University Press, 2023), is the winner of the 2024 Chadwick F. Alger Best Book Award by the International Studies Association. It also received Special Mention for the 2024 Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) Book Award.
I am the recipient of 2025 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation by the School of Policy and Global Affairs at City St George’s, University of London.
My recent work has been published in International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, International Studies Review, and Contemporary Security Policy.
In 2025-2026, I am seconded to the International Crisis Group thanks to the British Academy ODA Global Innovation Fellowship.
I sit on the Editorial Boards of International Peacekeeping and Global Governance.
